The subreddit r/blankies (Link) is one of the most popular homes of the Blank Check fan community. In January 2018 the subreddit was closing in on 1000 user subscriptions; as of November 2019 it's past 5000. The subreddit was opened by Reddit user «queer-mo-sexual» and is co-moderated by «mi-16evil».
The term "Blankies" was coined by frequent podcast guest Emily Yoshida during The Podcast Reawakens episode, the very first episode to be branded with the "Blank Check" moniker. Consequently Emily received the nickname "Mother of Blankies" thanks to this.
